Milly Thompson really was painful to watch. Her and Wolfwood were such a great secondary couple in spite, or perhaps because of how it ended.
And I'm laughing about the Sword and Stone squirrel because I'm glad I'm not the only one to find it heartbreaking. I mean, she saves his life after all then gets dumped flat. Poor thing.
As for Ike and Elincia I was surprisingly ambivalent about their relationship. He was a great guy with character development, and while starting off fairly weak, Elincia has also grown into a good queen without ever losing her compassion. Two great people . . . it just never seemed like their relationship was meant to be. They were sweet, but it's almost like Elincia needed Ike because of his strength and when he let the kingdom in allowed her to grow so much more as a person and a ruler. While I think Elincia and Ike were nice Elincia and Geoffrey just has much more potential to me. As an added bonus it's nice to avoid the forced trope of the main guy and girl needing to get together for the story to end well.
