Your review of Tokyo Mew MEw New is very accurate. I have been hesitant to watch it ever since I finished the OG Tokyo Mew Mew anime. I have read all the mangas and it's one of my all time favorite series. However, I've heard that they kind of do some of the characters a bit dirty and such. I may give it (TMMMN) a watch sometime soon..I don't know though. I also don't want to waste my time and watch something that ends up not being too good. I don't know at this point.
