That Bitch, That witch, what a fever pitch.

Gail was sitting outside drawing the left half of the DWMA for extra credit in history when she heard the rumors. Kids were walking by and looking at her, nothing out of the ordinary there, but the things they were saying weren't corresponding with the usual jabs at her mental state. What she heard made her go rigid.

"He finally got that weirdo to partner with him!" One guy was saying to his friends.

"That was one time," SOmeone else corrected, "For like two seconds. They did it just before the bell rang. I saw. But I mean, I dunno she looks terrified afterwords and then ran back to her sister like usual. I think she probably did the same thing to Argos. But you know, he's a bit tougher then that blue haired chick so he didn't show it." Everybody laughed.

"What a joke." Someone said. "He's really a nice guy once you get past all the initial 20 questions games and figure out what the hell he's saying, but those two girls are just…maybe they're witches or something." Nobody laughed at the joke.

Gail's mine was trained to block out the jibes and quips that were sure to follow as the group passed, not noticing she was in ear shot. They probably hadn't seen her at all. She hadn't realized that she had snapped her pencil. She wasn't sure if she broke before or after she out a fist through her drawing.

"I'm going to kill her." She whispered., flinging her drawing board aside and all but sprinting back to their quad. She slammed open the door and there was Raze, sitting on the couch eating a cup of pudding without a spoon because she was too fickin lazy to get up and get one.

"Hey Gail. You look like a hot mess." She slurped pudding and giggled to herself for some stupid reason because holy shit she was so STUPID.

Gail stopped over and smacked the pudding out of her sisters hand.

"Hey! What the he-"

Gail grabbed her by the collar and yanked her off of the couch. "You fucking bitch!" She growled in her sisters face. Raze's eyes went white and she squirmed in her sister's grip.

"Gail I can explain."

"Go ahead! Explain! You little LIAR!" she flung her sister back onto the couch. "I'm listening."

Raze wiped her mouth. He hair was wild, falling out of its tie and sticking up like einstein. "We were just sparing!"

"That's not what I heard!"

"Well who'd you hear it from, huh? Was it me? Why would you believe anybody but me?"

Gail yelled incoherently in frustration. "Well which is it, Raze! Even if you did transform for him, why didn't you tell me?"

Raze shrugged dramatically. "Maybe because I feared for all the pudding cups in the world! I mean look what you did to that one, it's guts are splattered all over the TV console…."

"Get serious Raze!" Gail was trying not to tear her sister limb from limb.

"I am! Look at you! In some sort of fever pitch over a 2 second transformation. Christ, it's like I summoned satan while you were at church or something! No, as I recall you were beating the shit out of his brother."

"Because he is literally the biggest dick i have ever met! I told you what he said about you!"

"You have no idea about what he's said about me Gail!"

Gail stopped. She froze. "What?" She couldn't comprehend what her sister had just said.

Raze drooped. "Shit."

"You're damn right 'Shit' I want to know what the hell that meant."

"Why? Why does it even matter?"

"It does matter! the closer you get to people here, Raze, the harder it will be to walk away. And even if we walked away, they'd be pegged for being our friends. Is that what you want? More people dead because you couldn't do what you promised me you would?"

"He understood, Gail. He knew about the Sai thing and… I don't know." She avoided Gail's stab. "It doesn't even matter, point is he didn't spread rumors. I think he's just as against all of this as you are, but I think he also gets it a lot more than you do." Gail was speechless so Raze continued. "Besides, Argos is kind of right Gail, I'm not a lowed to be your partner here. I need someone who can control me. I need someone like him and news flash, he's really the only one willing at this point."

"You don't know that!"

"I do! Besides, it's harder for me. I can't do the small talk bullshit. You can go off and pretend until the cows come home, but me, I can't do that!" Raze's sentence was punctuated with a slap in the face. When she recovered, she looked at her sister. There were tears in her eyes.

'Don't ever say I need to pretend, ever again, do you hear me Raze?"

Raze rubbed her cheek, not caring what lines she was crossing right now.

"I can say what ever I want to you, you aren't my mother!"

Gail looked like she had been the one slapped.

"You better be glad I'm not your mother! She'd kill you for that Raze. She'd KILL you."

"She's already tried!"

"Raze stop it!"

"But here I am!"

"Raze!"

"Get over yourself Gail!" Raze screamed. "Just get off your high horse!"

The door slammed open. "Who wants pudding!" Jenn said holding up a bag of fresh pudding cups. She stared awkwardly. "Am I interrupting?"
