"D'you wanna go home now?" Leon asked me, and I shook my head slowly.
"I want to stay here for a little while longer..." I managed to say. I was in awe of the large, sunny world, compared to the broken silence of Radiant Gardens and the dark alleyways of Traverse Town. Leon made a face and nodded.
"All right, suit yourself." he said. "I'll leave one of the Mini Gummis here for you, okay?" I nodded and stood standing still until the door slammed shut behind Leon.
Who was I? I still had no idea... all I knew was that I wasn't related to the rather bitter, scowling Cloud. "What's his deal?" I said aloud, hitting one of the small fire-pots with my Razorblade. I must've hit it hard, because a loud BANG shot through the air and blue flames popped up where I was standing.
"Well, well, well... who are you...?" A blue man in black robes had walked out of the smoke. "Ya look a lil' like that Cloud guy... you know him or somethin'?" I shook my head quickly, fear getting the best of me. This man looked amused, but in spite of that he was intimidating.
"Uhm... no, sorry to say. I just... met him today, you see." I muttered and stumbled over words, but the man stopped me in my tracks as I walked backward to the door.
"Wait a sec." he said, seemingly to himself. He mumbled to himself quickly for a few seconds, and then clapped. "Almost forgot my manners! Hades, lord of the Underworld."
I nodded. "I wish I had a name to give in return, your... er... Highness..." I wasn't sure how to address Hades, but, seeing as he was a lord...
"Your Highness! Hah! I love it..." And after that, I figured he had never been called that before. "Now, it looks like you got some spunk, kid. How 'bout you work for me? Be my apprentice." I didn't know what to say, so I nodded numbly. Hades laughed at my behaviour.
"What's an apprentice?" I asked after a few seconds.
"An apprentice learns and performs under a said mentor. I'll teach you what I know, and you'll work for me. It's considered a fair deal, seeing as I feed you and give you shelter." As he said 'feed', my stomach rumbled.
