Welcome
CanniAnniRoxas here, updating you on my cosplaying adventures in preparation for Anime Milwaukee 2010. This is my first cosplay and I'm certainly excited. I'll update this world frequently as possible with new additions to my costume, re-stylings of my wig(s), and of course tons of photos.
Wish me luck!

AMKE and Valentines
!D-Day and V-day!
Hey guys! long time no post right? I haven't had a chance to lately betwen working and then finally my first convention! Huzzah! ^^ AMKE was this past weekend and needless to say it was a blast. It went off without a hitch and i'm very glad. I went in cosplay on Saturday (The biggest and main day)and I was glad I did. Sadly even though i ordered my new wig it didn't arrive until a few days before and i didn't get a chance to finsih styling it before the con. So after doing some quick re-working I decided to use my old Roxas wig. :] It still worked although needless to say I spent a lot of time plucking back up the wilting spikes (I carried got2B Freeze Spray around with me throughout the con). I didn't finish my new wig because right before the con I got sick and didn't feel like doing anything, let alone finishing my wig. :[ When I went I was still sick so I was heavily drugged through out most of the con and I lost my voice on friday night xD Although I sounded horrible I was still haappy and ended up having tons of fun. I meet a lot of new friends and even found myself an Axel. x3 We raved together with Riku and had a blast. [Go look up their channel on YouTube and subscribe because they are awsome and I loved their cosplay! Illegal Cosplay ]I'm happy to say that this time I am TRULY retiring the old wig. After the saturday rave it really was done for and now it hangs on my bedpost with the glowsticks :] lol. It served me well! I have a lot of pictures and I will put them all up in a seperate post. I haven't added any pictures in a very long time. Ones from AMKE will be in their own post sepreate from this but I'm gonan post my long ago promised ones of me in my Org XIII coat and V-day ones in this post as an edit later today(I'm updating from school computers and they don't like photobucket)My new wig will be more heavily styled than the last as i've gotten lots of new advice and ideas from other con-goers. I'm sad to say I will NOT be attending No-brand Con this year, but there is still a small chance I will make it to ACEN. Money is tight and ACEN is REALLY expensive compared to AMKE. What I can say for certian is i WILL be at GEEK-KON in September this year, as week as Kitsune-kon and AMKE again next year :] (Both are one week after another! INTENSE!) But for now i sit with a immese Con-Over, and a still very raspy voice, contemplating where all my money went off to~ Haha. I feel totally tired but I'm still happy and accomplished. Cosplay is something i'm not nessecarily GOOD at but I enjoy it greatly and whether I end up cosplaying or not I intend on going to other cons in the future! I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and have a good St. patricks day to! <3
Anime, Cosplay, And Your Mom
!My Organization XIII Coat is Here!
It's finally arrived after much killing of my christmas funds, and a few weeks of waiting. (Hoping that the package wouldn't be stolen). I love it, and needless to say i've been taking full advantage of having an almost complete cosplay. At first any room that it was in wreiked of pleathery goodness for quite a while but it's aired out now and much better. I'm not afriad to be in an enclosed space with it anymore. Yay :D lol. Sadly Though I've indeed taken new pcitures in pretty much full cosplay (and I intend to take more, my camera cord has been lost to the abyss that is my home and I do not yet own a card reader. I'm slowly beginning to see one as a good investment. I'm fustrated with the fact taht I can't upload any of this but oh well. I have a few special pcitures I did just for upcoming valentines day, (yes I plan ahead a bit) and they are waiting to be uploaded until then no matter what. :3 I also pretty much took the last set of pictures you'll ever see of me in my first Roxas wig. It's pretty much done for. Its compeletely wilted under the powers of gravity adn I've also beaten it a good deal with the snow shoot I did a while ago. It compeltely unsalvagable, evne with my new Got2B products (by teh way those are possibly the best styling products you can use. If your styling a wig, use their Freeze Spray an Cement and it'll work wonders)It's time to give it another go soon. lol. So say toodles to wig numero uno. You were loved. -sadface-
On another, only somewhat unrelated note, i'd like to make a blog-like rant about the role of parents. I had an ephihpany as of late, due to a few trips i've taken to a friends house and others homes. I have a very dear and close friend, and she is very much an otaku like myself, she is attenidng AMKE and potentially No-Brand Con and Anime Central with me this year (yeah i've decided to hit Illinios too). However, she has an incrasingly hard time gaining any sort of acceptance within her own home for her quirks. Her mother (Who i'm alsmot certian dispeises me for encouraging her behavior) hates it when she listens to any J-pop or K-pop, watches anime, reads manga, and is very condecending towards the idea of cosplay and cons in general. Now I really have no problem with not havinga particular preference for things, or not really caring for what your child is into, but she can be downright malicious sometimes. It's paricularly irksome that she cuts down any form of new culture almost instantaneously. Any new food, forgein music, or customs she dismisses as strange, annoying, and ridiculous. This is definetely not limited ot japanese culture in the least. It baffles me that she can constantly cut down her daughter for things that seem perfectly harmless. Her open-mindedness seems to severly bug her own parent, and it was something i'd never encoutnered before. So here I am sitting here discussing the nearby cons I want to attend with my mother, whom herself is more than willing to attend a day or so, and transport me to save gas. She constantly discussing how excited she is to see Naruto shippuden, and loves buying wall scrolls for me and my brother so much its almsot criminal (She thinks they're the best thing since sliced bread) She supports my endevours for cosplay, and my enthusiasum of other cultures, somtimes indulging in things herself. She does it without being over-bearing or 'creepy mom'. And I appreciate her so much its unbleievable! My friends can't beleive my mother endorses my cosplay so much she's offered me money in adavance to I can get my new wig shipped to me on time, an my pre-reg done. And I personally couldn't be more grateful. So thanks mom, I love you to death! <3
So now i'd liek to ask; what do YOUR parents think of your own intrigues? Anime, manga, cosplay? Or something else? Are they amazingly supportive like my own mother? Or do they absolutely hate your 'weird cartoons' and 'comic books'? I'm curious! Leave a comment!
FInally i'd like to wrap this journal up with some far older pictures I never got around to putting up. Just pictures taken in photobooth on the macbook quickly and fixed up with PS. :3 Enjoy and I hope you all had a great holiday season! <3
