Jeon Woo-ju, the best pitcher in high school, will pitch in the final.

Jeon Woo-ju, the best pitcher in high school, will pitch in the final.

The Jeonju baseball team, led by head coach Joo Chang-hoon, will face Duksugo in the final of the 2024 Shinsegae E-Mart Bae National High School Baseball Tournament at SSG Landers Field in Incheon, South Korea, on April 22.

Jeonju's starting pitcher for the final is 'Ace' Jung Woo-ju. The hard-throwing pitcher, one of the biggest names in this year's rookie draft, did not pitch in the semifinals against Gyeongbuk High School. Unlike Duksugo, who exhausted their main pitchers and were unable to make the final due to pitch count issues, Jung will take the mound in the final. In the semifinals, another ace, Lee Homin, pitched eight innings of one-run ball with 105 pitches and 12 strikeouts.

"I told him before the semifinals, 'I want you to throw 105 pitches today, and I want you to throw them all,'" said Joo Chang-hoon, the head coach of Jeonju. Both Lee and Jeong have a lot of faith in me. I also told Jung Woo-woo today, 'Don't get out after two strikes and make it easy for yourself.' I want him to finish with 105," Lee smiled. That's how much faith and trust he has in his ace pitchers.

Jung Woo-ju's shoulder was not feeling well before the semifinals. "I told him not to play catch because he wasn't feeling well, and he didn't warm up. I prepared from the beginning without playing. Today, 스포츠토토 he said he was in good shape, so we're going to trust him from the start and try to overpower him."

Despite being the alma mater of great players such as Park Kyung-wan, Kim Won-hyung, Choi Hyung-woo, and Park Jung-kwon, Jeonju has only won one national title, the 1985 Golden Lion. The desire to win is high.

"We've been practicing since February, and our opponents have been telling us that Jeonju is too strong," says coach Joo Chang-hoon. We didn't feel it at all, but I think the players gained confidence as we beat Gyeonggi Sanggo and Busan Go, who were the favorites to win the tournament, and came up with difficult wins." "We thought this was the right time to win the title and have been preparing for this season since November last year. We left for training camp as soon as we got back from vacation, and we trained even when others were resting. We started training early and prepared well in order to get results from the first year, and I'm happy that it seems to be paying off," he said.

'I never thought I'd see such a reversal of fortune.'

After clearing the chamber fence with frightening power, NC Matt Davidson returned to the dugout and posed for a cute photo. It was quite a reversal of fortune for the 1.90-meter tall, 100-plus-kilogram foreign slugger to have such an expression.

The NC Dinos won the away game against KIA 15-4 at KIA Champions Field in Gwangju on the 21st. Davidson, who started the game at first base in the four-hole, went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and five RBIs.

Davidson was out of the lineup with a sore left elbow and was on the 10-day disabled list. He returned to the lineup the previous day against Gwangju KIA, but went 0-for-4 with a walk.

The Dinosaurs' slumbering bats exploded in the final game of the three-game series against NC, which was in desperate need of a win after losing two straight to the top-ranked KIA.

Davidson picked up his first hit since returning to the lineup with a double to center field in the top of the fifth inning with runners on first and second and a 7-2 lead. Davidson threw his arms in the air and celebrated with his teammates in the dugout as he stole second base.

With NC leading 9-4 in the top of the seventh, Davidson put runners on first and second with a three-run homer off Kim Sa-yoon. 안전놀이터 On a 1S pitch, Davidson drove Kim's two-seam, 129-mph changeup over the wall in right field. It was a 105-meter three-run shot that sent the opposition into a tailspin. It was Davidson's first home run in exactly two weeks since his last one against Changwon SSG on July 7th. Along with Davidson's home run, NC pounded out 16 hits and scored runs from all of its starters, winning 15-4 to shake off the disappointment of a second straight loss in the three-game weekend series.

Jung Yoon-jin regretted not being able to use a one-two punch in the final.

Deoksu High School coach Jung Yoon-jin regretted not being able to use a one-two punch in the final.

In an interview before the final game of the 'E-Mart Bae National High School Baseball Tournament' against Jeonju High School at SSG Landers Field in Incheon on the 22nd, Jung Yoon-jin said, "Today's starting pitcher is Yoo Hee-dong. The second pitcher will be left-hander Lee Ji-seung, and the final pitcher will be right-hander Kim Young-bin." He revealed the pitching plan for the day.

Yoo Hee-dong is a right-handed pitcher who stands at 195 centimeters. Jung Yoon-jin said, "As a tall pitcher, he has a high batting average. Her main weapons are a splitter and a curveball with a big drop. With those two pitches, I expect him to be good enough for three or four innings. His fastball can reach up to 140 kilometers per hour and his average is around 136-137 kilometers per hour," said Yoo Hee-dong.

Deoksugo has a one-two punch in Jung Hyun-woo and Kim Tae-hyung. Jung Hyun-woo, who is considered one of the top high school left-handers this year, has a 6-1 record with a 1.36 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 19 games (72⅔ innings) in his high school career. Right-hander Kim Tae-hyung has also been outstanding, going 11-1 with a 1.56 ERA and 110 strikeouts in 27 career games (81⅓ innings).

Jung Hyun-woo pitched in the quarterfinals against Gyeongnam High School on April 20, allowing one hit (one home run), one walk, 카지노사이트 eight strikeouts and one run in 5⅔ innings. He threw 82 pitches. Kim Tae-hyung pitched 6 innings of 2-hit, 3 walks, 1 hit, 9 strikeouts, and 1 unearned run in the quarterfinals against Kyungdong University on April 19. He threw 102 pitches. Both pitchers will not pitch in today's final game.

Coach Jung Yoon-jin said, "Our five sophomore pitchers pitched well and did their job. I thought Lee Ji-seung would last three or four innings in the Gyeongdong Classic, but I think he was nervous because of the large crowd. From there, the pitching rotation got messed up. As a result, we couldn't use both Kim Tae-hyung and Jung Hyun-woo. The manager made a mistake. I apologize to the players," he said.

Lee Ji-seung started the quarterfinals against Kyungdongo on April 19, but was shaky, giving up three runs (two earned) on two hits and one walk in ⅓ innings. Duksugo eventually brought in both Kim Tae-hyung and Jung Hyun-woo (1⅔ scoreless innings) to put out the fire. However, in the aftermath of the outing, both one-two punchers were unable to play in the final. However, Kim Tae-hyung will start in the No. 8 spot in the lineup.

"Jung Hyun-woo was a very good hitter in middle school," said Jung Yoon-jin. Today's opponent had a sidearm and an underhand pitcher, so I was worried about him as a hitter. However, I practiced batting practice so hard that I couldn't hold the bat because my hands were all damaged. I can't play today. Kim Tae-hyung is also a very good hitter. He's called Lee Do-ryu. He has long power and he can make contact. He has a good line drive. He hadn't practiced much before the World Championships, just a little bit in the winter training camp, but then he started hitting again, and he was still good. I thought he was a natural, so we discussed with the coaches and decided to send him out as the designated hitter."

Jung Yoon-jin, whose team will play at the home of the KBO League's SSG Landers, said, "We played the final here last year, so we won't be too nervous because of our experience. It's a great memory and motivation for the young players to play on the same pitch that the pros use. I am very grateful to Shinsegae for giving me this opportunity."

Jeonju will be led by Jeong Woo-ju, who is considered one of the top high school pitchers this year. "I think there is no doubt that our (Jung) Hyun-woo or (Jung) Woo-ju are the best pitchers this year. Woo-ju is a good pitcher, but we have a lot of attractive and capable hitters. If they don't get fooled by the fast slider and watch out for the high fastball, they will be able to hit Woo's ball," he said, adding that he expects the hitters to perform well.

Oldest active hitter is one away from 2,000 hits in Korea

SSG Landers Choo Shin-soo (41) is on the verge of reaching the 2,000-hit milestone in his Korean-American career. He will likely do so in his hometown of Busan, South Korea.

This season, he got off to a slow start due to injuries. Shin-soo Choo was injured in spring training and sent home early, and in the opening game against Lotte, he was hit by a pitch and suffered an incontinence in the middle finger of his right hand.

He was out of the lineup for more than a month before returning to the first team on April 11. Since his return, 바카라사이트 he has added three hits. He had two hits against KT on the 13th and one against KT on the 14th, giving him 1999 hits in his Korean-American career.

Before the doubleheader against LG on the 21st, Lee said of Choo Shin-soo, "I wondered if I put him on the first team too soon. He was injured in camp and didn't get enough at-bats in the exhibition games. When I saw him bat today, I talked to the hitting coach and worked on some things that weren't good, and it wasn't bad. I'm going to start in Busan. I'm going to start the whole three-game series."

Choo came in as a pinch-hitter with runners on first and second in the bottom of the eighth inning of the first game of the doubleheader against LG, trailing 8-10, and drew a walk. In the second game of the doubleheader, he pinch-hit in the top of the ninth inning with the score tied 5-5 and hit a huge foul ball off LG closer Yoo Young-chan that cleared the left field foul pole before retiring on a grounder to third base.
