That's happened to me a few times and I've gone crazy. It's usually because my internet is being a jerk, and I restart my computer a couple of times from there.
I hope it'll get fixed soon!

Oh, I was having that problem for a while a little bit ago. As it turns out, my internet was just SLOW because we were downloading too much stuff (even, like, just 100X100px gifs and stuff). So, I unhooked the internet box and rehooked it back up and now everything is fine! ^_^
I don't know if that might be your problem or not, though... :T
