Ahaha, yeah...When I was younger I always cut my hair, so I always had bangs. And see, I have curly hair, so sometimes it looked okay, other times not so much.
One of my most vivid memories from being five years old is my dad looking at me and joking to my mom that he'd just give me a bowl cut. Then he put a cereal bowl on my head u_u

Recently, I decided I wanted my hair a little shorter in the front than the back. I am thankful that I have curly hair, because no one really cares cause it's all over the place anyway. It turned out well enough, but I'm still thankful.
And yes, hair always grows back, and hair clips are amazing things. I'm sure it looks awesome :)
It comes up in conversation on the odd occasion—apparently a lot of kids do try to cut their own (or their siblings') hair. I don't think I ever did—at least, not recently enough to remember it. My mom might tell me otherwise if I asked her, though.
Initial reaction: "Wait...wha?! oh no...not the same post" >.>
Also,I have trimmed off strands of hair on many occasions.Triumphed over my end result at times,regretted the decision at others.And like you mentioned "hair grows back, right? No big deal!"

New haircuts always look 10 times more fabulous after a good shower. It's true.
I've never cut my own hair before, because frankly, I'd screw it up somehow. I am not artist enough to handle a haircut. (Which is pretty sad considering how short my hair is.)

Is it common? I never took scissors to my hair either. Not even sure the thought ever crossed my mind. That's what barbers were for. ^^
