Merry...Something.- Naruto
He was actually very grateful for the pajamas and secretly decided to wear them every night he didn't collapse onto his bed from exhaustion, but he wouldn't let Naruto know that. Honestly, there were a lot of things Sasuke hoped Naruto would never know, but thinking about it this way didn't phase him.
Though he thought it was nice of Naruto to think of him and get him a present, he tried not to think about how the blonde had to buy a gift for himself.
Hm.
As he watched the idiot settle under his table, he glanced at the tree. "..." Convinced that seeing something so small made him feel irritated, he quietly slipped off of the couch made his way to the door, grabbed his coat and closed it behind himself.
Need a better tree...
It was a little troublesome to wrangle up a tree on Christmas Eve, especially because most of them were gone, but Sasuke found a sizable one that he knew would fit perfectly in the apartment. It wasn't totally glamorous, but it was a hell of a lot better than the Charlie Brown tree in the apartment.
Decorations...
Why go through all of this trouble? He wasn't entirely sure; part of him liked the idea of a traditional Christmas, though the other part felt as though he owed something to his comrade friend.
It may have been sappy...but it was worth it.
When he was finally satisfied, he sat on the floor in front of the new tree (which stood next to the smaller one that had been there to begin with) and sighed. As he made himself another cup of peppermint tea, he glanced at the clock.
12:30...
"Merry Christmas." He muttered under his breath.
