Something random you should know: I LOVE it when people draw the character's personality is intact(in other words, unchanged)~ it really gives the picture a better feel because they act the same as they were made to be.
Hey everyone...it was a normal day for me up until a little over an hour ago. I kind of feel like I should vent but at the same time I don't want to...mixed feelings, I'm not sure what I'm feeling right now.
But um...to put it simply...
I got a phone call from my dad. And he said that my grandma on my mom's side passed away.
My mom is taking it REALLY terribly because this is the first time we've had a death in our family and nobody knew what it was gonna be like. I didn't know what it was going to be like...even though I've dealt with the deaths of several friends in the past. It's different from a family member...
but right now it all feels kinda surreal to me. I'm not feeling anything extreme yet..just mild sadness that I'm trying to ward off. Mostly because this is the WORST time ever to have this kind of news because I've got 7 exams(2 of which are tomorrow) and this is really disrupting everything.
But it kind of worries me that I'm not really sad right now because it probably means it's going to hit me hard later. Really hard.
I just...I don't want to be sad because now I've really got a reason to do well on my exams. I know if I do well, then my grandma will certainly be proud of me for working hard, and even though she's not on this earth anymore, she's still watching me, I'm sure.
My mom is hesitating about leaving to Korea tomorrow morning so she can be in time for the funeral on Saturday...she just doesn't want to leave me and my sis alone and forget about work because she's just a worried mom that cares a lot. But I actually kind of hope she goes so she can think about herself for once and at least go to her own mom's funeral. I know I'd want to if I were her.
So anyway, I don't really know how I'm taking this...or where this post is really going but, thanks all of you for being my friends and listening to me. I love you all so much and don't ever forget that<3
- When did you start drawing?
I remember I did my first drawing when I was 6 xD I still have that storybook I drew hahaha. It was about a girl on a rainbow that stepped on a flower and she got sad. Then she met a rabbit and she was happy again LOL.
- What methods or techniques did you imply to yourself to improve until now?
xD To be honest, I'm not really sure. In fact, I wasn't planning to go anywhere with drawing when I first started...I just drew because I thought it was fun. lol. But then I think when I started wanting to get better was when we started doing art classes at my school. We were looking at a Monet gallery and the very first painting I saw by him was The Road to Saint-Simeon Farm~ that's been my fave painting by him ever since. ^^ And that's what got me into painting.
Man this is getting long...er...well the improvement part mostly came because I wanted someone to notice me for it. I just really wanted to better myself and when I saw animes on TV and mangas, I decided that's the way I wanted to go ^^ And yep...I just keep telling myself "sometimes it takes the next day to actually see improvement", to motivate myself for anything!
- The pictures you have here in otaku were your first?
No actually xDD I drew lonnggg before that haha. But at the time when I first joined, the first ones I had on here I thought were some of my best. I redrew sooo many pictures so I could learn and for a while I refused to draw any original art because I thought I wasn't good enough. It took a lot of time but I've gotten MUCH better since then ^^(I put my first pics I posted on here in my drafts LOL).
- In what country do you live?
United States! But I was born in South Korea =P
- How tall are you?
I am...5 feet 5 and 1/2 inches I think?
- Hair and eyes color!!!?
Black(with some brown) and brown eyes =P Typical asian. xD
- How did we became friends XD?
Actually Angel-kun, I have NO idea xDDD I signed your guestbook back when we were using myOtaku and you had your Deidara picture as your avvie and your background =P I remembered seeing your name around here and that you were a friend of Innocent-chan's, I think. And that's how we met and we just went from there I believe =P
- What details or elements would describe you better,try like an analogy (I'm a tiger with stripes and like biting ppl)?
Haha that's a tough one...hm...I'm a polarbear that loves to cuddle up to others but always has to ponder what to do the next day because of the weather xD
That or you could say I'm a bird that loves to fly, be held, and be in flocks with others =P
- I think u have long hair but do you like short ?
It's getting longer now, yeah xD But yes I don't mind short either! Whatever is cute, fun, and comfortable. I can do elegant too...but in truth, I've never had my hair done before xD Just cut lol.
- The mighty angels apears out of nowhere and asks you to make a wish,what would you ask?
Oh goodness that's a REALLY tough one >.< Right now I would wish for my family members and anyone else in the world suffering an ailment to be instantly healed. No one should ever have to suffer as much pain as they must be going through for their lives. But sadly that doesn't mean we should be in denial and think that pain is impossible-because it's inevitable for everyone to experience it at least once in their lives T__T

Lol Sayura is my real name silly!! But I go by Hyunji more often in real life, since it's my Korean name and people think it's shorter because it's 2 syllables LOL. It really depends on who you're talking to xD I'm fine with either!

So I've been having too much fun despite my exams coming up the day after tomorrow...just relaxing, with several moments of hard work. It's a nice balance, and I'm glad I found it ^^

*sigh* Hello everyone~ it's been a hectic past few days, so I'm gonna leave a short post probably.
And regarding the title, it's way to CONTINUE to fail, feature fandom. The past 3 days, ALL of the feature fandoms have been number one or in the top four BEFORE they were even featured. PLUS they have all been from days past and not very recent...the feature from the 25th was of a piece that was in the top 4 and also from a whole WEEK ago. Agh. >.< I just wish there was some level of fairness in this choosing...it's absolutely painful to see the same old people that are in the top feature coming up again and again and again. It's like theOtaku is TRYING to give popular artists more than 100 hugs per picture featured >.<
Anyway enough about that. Yesterday I got 13 hours of sleep because the night before that I only had a grand total of 2 HOURS! xD
So yeah...it's been quite extreme lately...but luckily this week will be a bit lighter..until friday, that's when things will start getting more busy again T__T
