Something random you should know: I LOVE it when people draw the character's personality is intact(in other words, unchanged)~ it really gives the picture a better feel because they act the same as they were made to be.

If you're an older member of theOtaku and a friend of mine(or at least, a person of my day xD), then Cherri-chan and I need your help~
This might sound a bit odd but we're planning on bringing the old theOtaku members back with a HUGE comeback! Every friday we can, we'll start by each posting a piccy with a theme. Each day for the weekend, there will be a new theme piccy that will need posting, and then there'll be a break on weekdays since no one is really on.
Comment-wise, we'll all comment each other and bring back the old theOtaku spirit again! Get the word around to older members back from your heyday that we all know! *nods* And pm-ing works too!
The surprise and comeback comes with the huge surge of pics from older artists that people have kind of forgotten~it'll be a pretty noticeable comeback because there will be soo many pics of the same theme(and besides, some of you older artists already have quite a name here =P).
So let's remind theOtaku of theO's older characters and older artists! The first theme we're planning on is back-to-school art to post for next friday, so if you guys can, try and throw in something! Even if it's a sketch, maybe colorize it to make it showy or shade it some~! If you guys want to make a comeback, a showy piece is probably gonna do the trick~! *nods*

Hiya everyone~~ I'm back from Orlando and gosh it's great to be back! Although I had an incredible time at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios yesterday, it's never the same as being at home I guess~ =P By the end of the day yesterday, my feet were soooo sore and had blisters all over and I had a migraine from getting so dizzy from some of the rides xD But overall it was really fun and I don't regret a single minute of it all!(I especially loved the Dueling Dragons roller coaster...it was RAINING while we rode it LOL)
I was kinda anxious to see how well my latest piccy would do on views but it really really failed compared to what I expected xDD I guess I've still got a lot of hard work to do huh?(130 views...not that fantastic to me lol but that's alright, I'm just glad some people saw it ^^) And thank you all to those that commented~ I have a full update box to go through today so expect a flood of comments to come around!
But anyway, it's great to be back! *super hugs you all* I shall get to PMs today and I'm sorry I didn't let you guys know earlier~ see you all around and take care!
Hiya everyone~! SUPER short post today just letting you know that I've submitted new art(that I'm REALLY proud of) and that I'll be gone until Saturday(I'm going down to Orlando to go to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios to celebrate my sister's birthday~)! ^^
And if you guys know Sakurie-chan(Fire Fox Sakurie) be sure to wish her a happy birthday since her birthday is in 10 minutes!(July 31st, aka tomorrow xD)~

Good morning everyone...or afternoon rather. *sighs*
I come on and see Unknown-chan's pic and then I feel absolutely horrible. It makes no sense because I want to stand up for my friends and fellow artists but at the same time not act childish. And I guess I still am very much childish and immature and have a lot to learn.
It really isn't often that I snap. In fact, I usually never do xD But lately things just haven't been going my way and everything is just kind of a blur for me in real life right now. I guess ranting about the art thief was just another way for me to let out my stress from right now.
In one way, however, I appreciate the art thief's work because it made me realize how close I am to other artists on here and I even happened to become friends with Reenigrl after prolonging it for who knows how long xD So yay for Reeni-chan! <3
TheOtaku is actually a really small world. Even if I haven't said hi or anything to the artist, I've at least seen their work/style and recognize them on here. I didn't know the full extent of how close I was to other artists on here that I have never met before until the art thief came around.
Anyway...I've been working on new art, so expect that sometime ^^

I'm so so sorry everyone I didn't mean to outburst like that....I'm really sorry if I scared or hurt any of you, I didn't mean to act that way.
I've been in such a mess lately...it really has been difficult for me. My dad hasn't been feeling well and he's been feeling more depressed by the day. That really brought up some harsh topics in my house...and the art thief mentioned in my post below wasn't helping.
I recently got into an incredible art auction on gaia(my first, actually!), and I've been spending quite a bit of time with that...and plus it's given me a break from all of this stress I've been having lately. Disney has always brought a smile to my face...even though you guys may not like it as much as I do.
And I was just thinking about critique for a second...one of my friends refuses to accept any on her art and it got me thinking. What's wrong with letting others tell you your mistakes? It isn't done to make you feel bad, it's said to help you improve. And if you can't learn to accept both critique as well as positive comments from others on your art altogether, how can you truly learn to trust yourself as an artist? Just something I was thinking, is all.
I'm having to go back into my school routine of working on assignments everyday...so here goes! Take care everyone and I'll see you all around<3
