First off, sorry I don't upload much. o_x
I tend to be busy with school, and I just don't have much inspiration right now.
ANYWAY.
So, tomorrow is Hetalia Day. o 3o
And me and 1dev13 are going. :D If any of you happen to be going to one in Minnesota, y'know, let me know. xD That'd be pretty awesome.
...also, does anyone actually read this? This world tends to go up about 20 views a day, but I never update it.
Yup, yup. So, as you can tell from the title, it has something to do with the 3rd Death Note movie. And as you might've guessed, I'm here to tell you my opinion on it! Here we go~
Let's start off with the trailer. That way you can get a look at what it's like. (BTW- it's the dub. Yes, I like the English dub of Death Note. I think it's awesome. If you prefer subs, that's good too. Just sayin'.)
First off, I really do like all of the live-action movies. I personally think the anime & manga are much better, as there are more twists and turns and things you don't think about. I realize with time restraints the movies are going to be a little different, but I still like the originals better.
I'd go into a little more detail about the differences, but this entry would be mainly made up of spoilers then. So, let's just say that there were some characters I really like that weren't in the movies, and a couple plot twists.
...I said I wouldn't, but I'll go into one spoiler. I really do like L's death much more in the movie. In the anime, it wasn't as nearly dramatic as it could have been. L is a really popular character, and I just think there were other deaths that were a little more dramatic. (I guess, though, the scene where L is just standing out in the rain is kinda sad, and part of that.) Anyway, in the movie, I really like how L dies nice and peacefully. When he died in teh anime, I was like, "No! L, no!" But with the movie, I was literally crying. It was just a lot more sad I thought, because he knew what was coming, and when it did come, he just looked like he was asleep.
Wow, I spent way too long on the subject of the other movies. Let's get back to L Change the WorLd. This one is definitely my favorite of the live-action trio. Maybe it was because I didn't already know the story, or maybe it really was made a little better. The virus looked disgusting, just as it should. It, in my opinion, looked awesome. I loved that L was the main character, that way the whole time I really was rooting for L. Following him on his investigation was thrilling and suspenseful, with his less-than-23-day time limit. The couple of new characters made the story incredibly interesting. And the ending. I loved this ending. "I'll name you Near." I really loved that they put Near in there, even if you didn't really know it was him until the end. (And although it wouldn't have worked with the time frame in the original story, that's okay.)
All in all, it was a great movie whether you like Death Note or not. It's probably a lot better if you know the story of the other two movies, or at least the anime and manga, but it is great nonetheless.
