I heard that you were actually reading them. It takes getting used to and once you learn more words it gets easier. If you read all of them, you'll find that they slowly get easier to understand. :)
Oh! So you're reading that too! Sir Allamorph recommened that series to me a while back. It's really good. ^_^ I'm still reading volume I actually. I wouldn't feel too bad about it being hard. I'm in college (not as far along as Crystia is) and I still have to look up what a word means from time to time. o_O
The best part is after you get past the first two books in volume one. The other stories are much shorter and yet still really interesting to read. ^_^ I'm really liking the short stories a lot.
Well yes and no. College doesn't automatically mean you can read a lot. But if you work hard you end up getting a lot of practice reading. Also, the more words you learn, the easier it gets.
If you get stuck on something and the dictionary isn't enough, just ask your mom or dad and they'll help you too. Or if you see me on AIM you can always ask me as well. So, keep up the good work. ^_~

Oh good, you started on the challenge. =P I've seen most of the tv adaptations of this series. I only recently read some of the books and stories. But since you're reading it, I'll go ahead and read all of them. In addition to the Twilight books. ^_~
O_O You've read them many times? Wow. You must be really smart then. It is interesting, but reading it makes me feel stupid too. >_< I know I'm not, it's just really hard. I won't give up though.
I've never had anyone challenge me before. o_o I really want to talk to Crystia about Twilight so I'm going to do it! I could talk to her anyway, but I don't like it when people tell me what's going to happen. I don't want to do that.
I've never had to look up so many words before. T_T I like to use a site called Dictionary.com It's easier than using the regular dictionary. I don't always get to use the computer though.
Way to go for actually looking up the words you don't get. Far too many people wouldn't take the time or effort to do that, but this is a great way to expand your vocabulary. ^-^
I had a reading challenge my mom gave me back in elementary school. For each of the Little House on the Prairie books I read, I'd get a special early morning breakfast out with her wherever I chose. For a kid my age, that was plenty motivation to get reading. ^.^

I never read that specific collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, but I read smaller collections during my sophomore year of high school. I barely remember any of them, though. >>;
Keep reading. You can do it. ;) And then Crystia will have to read the Twilight books. =P As for myself, I haven't actually read the Sherlock Holmes books but I've seen the shows they've made off of the books. Holmes, if you like mysteries, is good stuff.
O.o challenged?
ohhh i wish i could read twilight. i have a reading problem (don't listen to what anyone else tells you) <.<;;;;; i do.
._. you think you have to keep looking up words in the dictionary... >_> i can't read indi's post without having trouble. heheheh jp no i go on the chat and ask what a word means xD then they get all mad because we have google for these things.

Also for those of us who have read a lot since we were young, reading fast isn't usually a problem.
I still need to finish Duma Key, though, so I can start on my Asimov books or The Green Mile.
