After a bit of walking in silence the pair reach a fairly large tree. A wooden door with logs nailed to it, carved and sanded to look like roots tucked away behind the roots. The woman pushes the door open gently, the hinges creek, rusty from rain. They enter a cave, built securely under the large tree, and carving on the roof and shavings on the floor tell that there have been attempts to expand into the tree its self. "I don't see why we have to hide like this when we talk, I'm not some orc, I even take a friendly form to your people." The elf shakes her head slowly, lighting a few more candles in the cave, "Dragons in general haven't been to friendly toward my kind Tarenus," she says almost mournful. Tarenus looks down, "I know the other green drakes haven't exactly been kind, but that's not our fault, we're being driven mad, I'm one of the ones trying to figure out why!" Vera nods "I know that, and you know that, but my people won't believe that I fear.. " Vera disarms herself of a pair of short swords and a light crossbow. Tarenus picks up a piece of wood that seems to have seen a knife's edge a few times, but not enough for it to be recognized as a carving. hoping to mend that fact, Tarenus takes up a small carving knife that was seated on the stones next to the wood. as they talk the dragon man mindlessly carves off shavings from the piece of wood, "Vera, do you still have what I gave you before?" he asks now without a joking tone or joy in his voice. she blinks, taken aback by his serious tone all of the sudden, then nods, "of course, the ring with a gem made from your scale so we can communicate" she takes out the sliver ring, a bright, almost glowing, green gem in the middle. "Good.. I never want that to be out of reach.. if anything happens to you, i need you to call me right away, alright?" he urges her to answer quickly by tone alone. Vera tilts her head slightly, "What's going on here Tarenus? what are you not telling me!?" she sounds annoyed. "The council in Northrend sent me a message that something happened recently, they say they need me and I'm not sure what is going on.. and I'm worried, that's all, i swear." She nods in approval at his answer, "fine, but you'd better get going if they called for you, I'll see you once you've finished your task." the man nodded and stood, walking out of the cave and closing the door, Vera reaches and opens the door just in time to see the large green dragon flap his giant wings and fly away.
