Yes. I'm always working on new things. whether or not they ever get finished is another story. I'm notorious for starting new projects that I never finish.
It just hurts me that many of the pieces I had drawn as a small child, when I could barely hold a pencil, are now lost. Yea sure, they weren't fantastic but they did hold sentimental value for me.

I'm really sorry for you!!! I feel terrible :( But still, its only fate, now you have got to make new pieces and cherish them...
