Prologue

“Preserving the health of the people...”

Umbrella’s Motto. This was something that our superior often reminded us as we worked at the underground facilities to create medicine in order to “save” humanity. This though, was the biggest lie and ironically, the biggest truth that I’ve ever heard in my whole entire life.

I’ve started my work at Umbrella during the year 1992. I was just your ordinary young girl, looking for a stable income and a way to pass the time. I came upon Umbrella Inc. then, and from that day onwards, I was sure that they could provide me with something interesting as the time would pass by. I never imagined it to be the way that it did though. After all the years that I had spent working with them, I never knew about the conspiracies hidden under their fronts of good health and service to the people. Imagine that from 1992 up to 1999 when we were forced out of jobs due to the bankruptcy, everything was kept hidden from me? I just couldn’t believe it…although, as the others lost their source of income, I still had a stable job with me because of my boss. Still, for them to hide something so big under everyone’s noses…it was just a little too much to take. What I thought I made in order to save lives turned out to be things in order to cover up Umbrella’s dirty little mistakes. Somehow, the company plummeting down seemed to be a nice change of pace, but this didn’t mean I was against Umbrella. Oh no, actually, I’m just waiting for my boss to bring Umbrella back up. That way, I can work again and this time, know what I’m working on.

Still, I do keep wondering as to when he’ll bring Umbrella back up to its feet. I’m sure if anyone can do it, he can. I mean not to brag, but he is a genius, cunning and also very precise with what he wants. And I don’t see why people fear him for that. Sure he back-stabs people, albeit a bit of a bastard at times but hey, he’s doing it for his own personal goals. And honestly if he’s up for it, I’m pretty much game as well. His goals are my goals, his dreams my dreams and his success my success. I’m not looking at it any other way. He wants to be a God then I believe that he deserves to be one...that he has the right to claim the “God” title. While others might think that he’s destroying the world, I on the other hand think he’s doing it a favor. It’s time for the world to start a new, and I’m sure it wouldn’t be bad if Mr. Wesker led them. Not a bad thing indeed…
