It's kind of funny that Coldplay and Radiohead were in the same room. I say this because Coldplay is pretty much the purely unintentional logical result of Radiohead's album "The Bends". (After that album was released, plenty of Brit-pop bands started to drop the electric guitars in favor of acoustic ones. And then there were bands that went straight for the acoustic sound upon forming as a band, not long after Radiohead started carving out their own magnificent acoustic sound--I'm looking at you, Travis. And from there, Brit-pop no longer wanted to rock anymore; it wanted, rather, to lounge in the easy chair, that months ago it would have thrown out the window into the pool--long live Keith Moon! Long story short: Coldplay is Radiohead gone horribly wrong, yet remaining commercially viable. The Grammy awards love that sort of stuff.)
I never watch the grammys cause I end up doing something else instead. I also tend to avoid the radio and pick up on music from other sources. It probably helps that my mom, until health forced her to withdraw, was a classical music major. o_O
I didn't watch the grammys, because I prefer little-known artists. But your comment about the Jonas Brothers made me giggle. The only reason they can hit those high notes in their songs is because their pants are so tight.
