figma Kotobuki Tsumugi - Review
Quick Overview:
This is the second figma I got from Houkago Tea Time, only three left! As usual, Max Factory is consistent with dishing out great quality figurines. I like Mugi a lot more than Mio because Mio is a moe-magnet. I think Mugi is hilarious in her own way.
Her long hair pieces in the front are made out of softer PVC to allow more posing without getting hard plastic in the way. Her sweater and skirt are also made out of the same material. These are things I loove about figmas.
She has a set of interchangeable school shoes included in her accessory set. However, her keyboard is the main event for her accessories. It's essentially a model of the KORG Triton Extreme 76 key keyboard with amazing details.
If you are a huge Mugi fan and like her better than Mio and Yui combined, then go and buy it. For the quality and fun you can get out of this figma, the price of admission is worth it.
figma Rider - Review
Quick Overview:
There's seriously nothing bad I can say about this figma. After having this figma out on my desk for a bit, I'm really enjoying its aesthetics. The overall accuracy of her figma model to her actual anime counterpart is astounding.
The build quality is just as good as any other Max Factory figma released in the market. It's a feat of human ingenuity how they managed to create her hair, since it's just about as tall as her. Well, I'll stop and I'll let the video explain most of my love for this figma.
The only downside is the price for this figma. I managed to snag her from this guy in the UK for about 52 with shipping included. Now, the lowest you can easily find her can total from 60 to 70+ dollars. I wished Max Factory manufactured more for the drooling masses.
figma Mio Akiyama - Review
Quick Overview:
For all the Mio fans: this is a definitive GET. Despite the lack of strings on the Fender precision bass guitar, the amount of customization and variety of poses you can get out of this figma are awesome.
I've been a Max Factory fan ever since I got my first Saber figma a year or two ago. They do adjustments such as making the long frontal hair pieces and chest/stomach clothing out of softer PVC to allow more pose-ability in the figmas.
Max Factory continue to dish out pose-able, yet very nice to look at figmas. That is one of the main reasons I buy them. They look cool, yet you can pose them in many different ways without making them look awful from the joints.
The only downside is the consumer demand. This figma seems to be pretty high in demand… so finding one at an affordable price might be difficult. The sellers on eBay jack the prices up by $20-$30, which is ridiculous, but expected of limited stock items.
There's still 18 left on AmiAmi at this moment, but I'm not so sure about Otacute.
