Yeah, lamewad. As if fog in place of rain and lightening when on top of a mountain range is really what should freak you out... But I can't go near power tools, so we're even. XP

hahaha. Don't worry about it. I was just making fun of myself. lol
When we were in Colorado a couple summers ago it was really nice and then as we were driving in the mountains a storm started rolling in. As we drove up and deeper into the storm the temperature dropped from around 68 or so to like 28. The little read out on our van console said "icy". NO joke. It was scary.
Please don't feel that bad o_O I'm just helping of course, not crticising ^^
There was a time we were up in North Carolina one summer, up in the mountains, and a storm moved in very quickly. You could actually see the cloud rolling down the mountainside. We got a brief hailstorm and the temperature dropped from around 80 degress down to around 60 @_@
Heh, our van had a bunch of dents in it from being out in the hail. I'm glad your car was under cover ^^
Pretty much. We have friends that have basements but usually we figure it's safer just to stay in the house rather than risk the chance of getting obliterated in a reck due to poor road conditions^^

Actually, it's "Tornado Alley" ^^
You can't always judge whan a storm is coming just by looking at the sky. Especially in your part of the country, things can blow up literally out of the blue within a few short minutes (as you witnessed).
I'm just glad you didn't get anything more serious than hail. Heh, just hope that you won't have to take your cars into the shop for them to pound the dents out =P
Well, most people go down to their basement. The only part of our house that's technically underground is my shower, which is currently duct taped shut^^ Also, there are actually very few public tornado shelters in Kansas and none where we live. Too bad for us.
I looked out my window when that crazy wind deathstorm happened in the middle of the night - one of the trees out front (the tall one, not the baby ones) was being so viciously ravaged by the wind that I thought it would be torn out of the ground. It was pointing sideways, I tell ya. I'd reopened one of my windows before going to sleep - needless to say, I decided to shut it after seeing that. I'm glad the roof stayed on the house. ^^

By the time we got to our destination (a quaint little cabin by a river :3) it had warmed up. It was crazy, though.

Man! My typos are getting worse and worse!
I know that's what it's called. I mean, I've lived here my whole life. I do feel like a complete moron for typing that, though...
I actually just walked into Twisted's room and said, "I want to stab myself in the heart." :P I feel that lame. lol
Yeah, I know storms can appear out of know where. It happens a lot. I still wasn't expecting it though^^
My dad had put Mikey in the garage before the storm started, so he's fine. And the hail wasn't that bad. Thanks for caring, though!

Don't you have a tornado shelter to retreat into during times like that?
