Yeah, the boady is freakish thing. And cartilage isn't rigid like bone, so I can kind of see how it might get stretched forcefully enough by hard coughing over a period of time that it would become inflamed or something.

Every time I hear that I cringe. A lung infection just sound perfectly horrible, you know? And it really isn't fun to cough that hard, is it? Sorry you've had to go through so much. Me and my pathetic whinning is, well...pathetic. lol.
Thanks though^^ Hugs are appreciated, though when I hugged my friend "L" last night I hurt myself. lol

A similar thing happened to me back before I began treatment for my lung infection. I coughed so hard one time that my chest hurt every time I breathed, and the pain lasted for a couple of days -_-'
I hope the pain stops soon, you don't any more suffering than you've already had to go through lately.
Aww nooo! That sucks. I hurt my ribs badly last year in a bus crash - then i made the mistake of watching comedies when I came home to cheer me up. Laughing was so painful, but at least i was happy.
I really hope you feel better soon hun *hugs gently*

So the chiropractor was "taping" your ribs or "tapping" your ribs? Because those are quite different things :-) Was he playing them like a xylophone?
