No joke, I think it might be the most beautiful western I've seen, visually. Even if it didn't have a good plot/characters/acting, the movie would be worth watching for the visuals.
I loved the homage to the Mega Powers WWF storyline in the montage at the beginning of The Wrestler, haha.
I knew that there was a movie I kept of forgetting to watch, every time I did my usual movie crawl. I'll have to find The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford whenever I remember it. I just hope it stick in my mind this time!
I recently watched The Wrestler, and it surprised be. It's not the sort of film I expected from Darren Aronofsky. I could have easily added this to my own movie list, but I didn't want to add too many things to it, since it had so many mediums here and there. Still, this is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. It reminds me of the good ol' days when I actually watched wrestling. (I'm having flashbacks of the Ultimate Warrior, Hulkamania!, and the obligatory heel/hero.)

lol, I wonder if Cary Grant's image would have really been "tainted" even if they kept the original ending. If fangirls back in the day were anything like fangirls of the present, then they would have thought Cary Grant's character was hawt and somehow endearing no matter how evil he was.

Haha, the whole movie I was thinking that the only way anyone could have liked his character is if they loved Cary Grant beyond all belief.
