I'm not quite sold on Rei as a love interest quite yet. Everything she does could still fall into the motherly range (trying to repair the broken relationship between father and son, etc.). Really, Asuka backs off mostly because she has the wrong idea about Rei's intentions, since she has no clue about Rei's true origins.
And, yeah, that end is pretty crazy. Shit's getting real in Evaland!
My mind is getting blown crazy hard right now. So much collateral damage. Also, Rei is practically the primary romantic interest now?! Hehhh?! You said it: still good, just really different.
. . . . . and then the credits just ended just now . . .
I thought about making a huge post about the movie but decided not to -- at least for now -- because I would probably be the only one here who has seen it at the moment, haha.
I haven't seen the latest Eva film, yet. However, I'm sure to see it, and now I'm even more interested in seeing it. It's been a while since I've felt that old Eva charm, the one that hooked me years ago. Ah, I now know what to add to my list of things to watch, but this one will be given slightly more priority than the others.
I never realized that the phrase "A boy and his dog" was actually the title of, like, a book. Or a movie. I just thought it was a cute phrase. o_O And the fact that it's the title of a post-Apocalyptic movie is just funny.
And hey, I just watched The Blind Side a few nights ago. I liked it. It wasn't anything spectacular, but I can see why Sandra Bullock won an award for it.
I have just finished the series last month, after realizing that I have not been able to watch it due to time conflicts when it aired, I have yet to watch End of Evangelion, and Death and Rebirth, and the other movies.
I paused the series for a while because of the recap movie...

It's funny, after I saw you had Eva 2.0 in the queue, I went "oh yeah! I still haven't seen these yet!"
Acquired 1.11 today; shall acquire 2.0 later this week, I reckon.
Also, euphemisms, gettou!
