Yeah, that one caught my attention right away, as soon as I signed in. My little Satoshi Kon marathon shall be tinged with sadness and joy. Paranoia Agent really has me engaged, so I can't wait until the other two DVDs come in. I've also borrowed Perfect Blue, so that should be arriving hopefully by the end of this week.
He left us with a great vision of what anime could be.
I was crushed when I heard the news of his passing. :( He was so brilliant. I'm going to watch some Perfect Blue tonight (my first Satoshi Kon experience).

Yeah, he was working on The Dream Machine, which was supposed to be released next year. No idea on what the status of the project is right now. It could be in post-production, for all we know, or it could still need sequences to be animated (I assume the story has been entirely written at this point). I'm hoping enough exists so that the movie can be released as close to Kon's vision as possible.
"What a bummer" just doesn't say what it needs to. Wasn't Satoshi Kon in the midst of working on a new movie? I'm not sure which would be better, letting it remain unfinished, or letting someone who's not Satoshi Kon finish it.
I just discovered that there's one more piece of work from Kon that I had yet to see -- he wrote the "Magnetic Rose" segment for the Memories OVA. I've read a ton of great things about it just now, so I'm really excited to watch something new from him. Too bad I'll have to leave for work before I can get it. :(
Also planning to rewatch Paprika fairly soon. My tastes have evolved quite a bit since I first watched the movie, so I want to see if my opinion of it improves in light of that.

I guess I should leave a more coherent comment now.
... wow. Just wow. This is so sad. I'm genuinely tearing up here. Ducky and I have agreed to watch one of his films tonight in his memory.
Also, I read your post on the ANN forums and I completely agree. I hope that Yume-Miru Kikai can be finished just so we may have one last great Satoshi Kon film.

That's the one thing I haven't seen of his either. And now I'm definitely planning to.
