Ick, that's terrible. The only solace I can take from this whole experience is that there won't be any layoffs on the copy desk, so my job is safe for now ... but that's only because we're operating on a shoestring as it is. They literally cannot cut any more people and get the paper out every day.
I don't drink, but damn do I feel like taking it up right now.
Today I found out that none of the supervisors did well on the head office evaluation, and as such they got chewed up, which in turn means there's more pressure on us to not let them down again. Then while talking to my supervisor about all that stuff and how they're really expecting a lot from us considering the hour cuts we've all taken and stuff, she mentions to me that apparently the store manager "doesn't trust me" anymore to do the work (because he saw me chit-chatting with another guy - while I was closing the till, no less).
Then the whole day just felt like 12 hours of work crammed into 8.

Yikes, you guys are getting handed the trout pretty badly, eesh :-/
We need to start a big corporate company and make work functional! And there should be a petting zoo to take off any potential stress that arise :D
Or a room filled with stuff to break/punch, for those so inclined >.>
