I've watched Shadow Magic twice, and I think it's a great movie. I like how it shows the wonder of experiencing something novel, especially when it's embodied quite well by the two characters respectively.
On a side note, if you haven't seen The Emperor and The Assassin you must watch it. It's how epic film-making ought to be, minus all of the paint-by-the-numbers stuff we're usually given when someone attempts something on a large scale. However, I don't mean "epic" in the sense of visual spectacle; I mean it more in the sense of the story's depth and scope.
Yay for Nausicaa ^^ I love that film. My DVD keeps skipping with the subtitles - but I've watched it enough times to know what people say... Heh. The music is rather fab too *nods*
Nah, there was just nothing at the library this week, unfortunately. I'll probably fill up the time by watching a couple of movies on TV (might be watching Atonement later on today, as a matter of fact).
I've never watched Nausicaa or Clueless or 5cmps. That makes me sad now...
...but I'm shocked at the singular film for the week. What's up with that? Is it because Iron Man is so epic, it takes up all desire you possibly could have for another film this week?

I'm quite thrilled you enjoyed Shadow Magic so much. It reconfirms my thought that, "Damn, this is a good movie."
I like Nausicaa, but it's not my favorite Miyazaki film. It just feels too unfinished. I've been wanting to read the manga for that very reason. XP
I have another recommendation (in case you haven't seen it yet): Phantom of the Opera, circa 2004.

Yesh for Nausicaa. Personally, my favorite Miyazaki movie.
And Iron Man is epic.
