Sounds sort of like a Twelfth Night kind of silly, am I right?
And yeah, I've been hearing about those California fires. There was one that happened at Westmont College, close to where my old church used to be. ):
Luckily the church is fine, but a lot of the professor's houses near the area were completely burned down, apparently.
See, this is why I live in Washington. People make cries of drought if it doesn't rain at least once every seven days. Silly, silly Washingtonians...
I guess it is similar to The Producers in a way -- like what the movie would have been if it focused more on the backstage shenanigans and less on Leo and Max.

I think I saw part of that movie... Is that the one where there's a running joke with sardines, and something like two couples are trying to find a quiet spot in the same abandoned cottage, but they don't know the other two are there? Maybe I'm completely off the mark and that's not even what you were talking about. XD;
It does sound amusing. Sounds to me like it's on a similar level of The Producers, except without Nazi humor. >_<
Wildfires must suck. I know I don't like it when all the one-note news stations find out and then coverage begins to focus more and more on the fire and less and less on other things. Yes, yes, we understand this is tragic, but you don't have to update us after every commercial break. That's why pure-news stations suck.
On another note, I'm glad you're nice and safe from said blaze. It amazes me how many brushfires happen out that way while there's still room to ignite more next year. Tsk, tsk, wildfires. Don't you know we care about our Shin?

Sounds like the play was a lot of fun.
Now I just hope they get those fires taken care of.

I'm glad the play was fun. It sounds amusing, I'll have to look into the movie adaptation since I'd never heard of it prior to this post. ^-^
Fingers crossed for favorable winds. D= Poor California.
