I've not really read any of Mr. Allen's written works, I'd have to say. But I have read two of his short works: "My Speech to the Graduates" and "My Apology".
You have to love it when the first paragraph of "My Speech" has this as one of its lines: "(Modern man is here defined as any person born after Nietzsche's edit that "God is dead," but before the hit recording "I Wanna Hold Your Hand.")
I don't know, but the story is a billion times better than that. "Intellectual prostitutes" is sort of misleading, actually, but I couldn't think of a better phrase that wouldn't also give away a joke in the story.
