Even if you don't continue with the Pandora Hearts anime, pleeeease give the manga a try. I like it so much that, after reading the first three volumes, I ran out to buy the rest of the series and have been translating it. XD
Haha, amusingly enough, Momoko was my favorite part of Shangri-La, if only because Jouji Nakata normally plays such masculine, refined characters. I think I did a double take the first time I heard Momoko speak. xD
Also, that's a good tip on labeling things I use every day! I think that will help me out a bit. :D
We're really agreeing with the current season. I'd shuffle Phantom up above K-On! and then that list would perfectly match mine (excluding the shows we don't have in common of course =P). The first episode of Basquash was a riot, but my interest has waned with each passing episode. And I can't shake the awesomeness that is Sengoku Basara. XD I haven't dropped 07 Ghost and highly doubt I will, and I'm going to give Shangri-La a couple more episodes before I pass judgement. The less transvestite, the better. >_<
As for Spanish, I took three years of it in school and didn't do too bad, if I say so myself. (I was actually chosen as the best Spanish student two of those years and followed it up with a trip to historic sites in Mexico with my Spanish teacher. [/modesty]) Something that helped me, which might be tough for you to accomplish depending on the circumstances you'll be learning under, was that my older brother was taking the same level Spanish as me out of the same textbook, being assigned the same homework and everything. So, we pretty much studied together every day, making the whole process very interactive and enjoyable.
Mentally associating Spanish terms with everything you see helps, so it's recommended by some to literally label everything you can think of in your home with the Spanish term, then read it aloud every time you go to use said object.
Staring at a book for hours isn't the way to learn a language - it's the way to come to hate the language. However you decide to study and learn, you have to enjoy the act of doing it or it'll become drudgery.

Hmm... my middle brother is taking Spanish in high school right now and he's pretty good (Spanish III and Spanish Honor Society as a sophomore, which is effing unheard of apparently), so I'll ask him. Some of the things I notice him doing include studying late, making our mom quiz him on terms and he yells at me in Spanish. Maybe the latter is because I never got past Spanish I, have personal issues with the language and he knows all the dirty/mean phrases while I just remember how to announce that a cat is on fire in the bathroom. XD He even texts me in Spanish if I'm not around to be yelled at to my face. I think I still have one of them...
*goes through old texts*
Yeah. He texted me in Spanish. =3= Crazy kid; still love him though.

It's interesting to compare what you and I are still watching or have dropped. I only dropped a couple of shows because I didn't care about continuing them, but the main reason I dropped things was either due to them being dropped by the sub groups that were working on them, or in the case of Valkyria Chronicles, because the group I found that had the best subs were not releasing it in a format that I was able to watch due that that annoying issue of my inability to watch super-high-quality .mkv files. I certainly wouldn't consider 07-Ghost or Shangri-La garbage or poor by any means.
