It just doesn't achieve anything. So if you can let it go, then what's the problem with doing so? It just means that the problem is no longer contributing to make you unhappy.

It doesn't seem wishy washy at all, it just seems like a way of life. My parents do the same thing, bringing up old arguments and unhappiness again and again without seeing each others' side of it. Where does that get them? Absolutely nowhere.
