Interesting. I remember when that movie came out, but I was pretty young then. Maybe I'll watch it sometime. My friends and I have been gradually watching all the Miyazaki movies recently.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
The funny thing is, there is actually an abandoned house in the woods near where I live, but it doesn't look like the one in my dream did. Anyway, we didn't play in there when we were kids (It is infested with insects of the flying and stinging variety, so I explored it a couple times in the winter when it was too cold for them, but we didn't make a habit of going there.)

I finally had a dream I could remember! I was walking around the woods and I found this old abandoned house and my neighbor and I began trying to fix it up again. We were repainting it and everything. When my dad found out, he asked me what I was doing, so I began telling him the story of how we'd played in the abandoned house as children but we'd been forced to abandon it because the situation got dangerous. (In my dream, we were also being hunted down by some very bad people, although I don't know what made them so bad, and they never managed to find us.) So I told him how the falling-apart house had made us sad and we were trying to fix it up again, but then I told him how my neighbor's dad had seen us and yelled for us to get out of there and stay out. We didn't know why, and we didn't know if he was good or bad, so we just had to run through the woods as fast as we could and temporarily abandon our project. In my dream I was telling my dad that we were trying to make the house go back to the way it had been when we were young children because we had been sad and nostalgic for the old times, even though I knew there was no getting old time back. He didn't respond to that, but he said we should have asked our neighbor's dad why he was telling us to leave. One detail I remember from my dream is that it was definitely in the late fall at the time, because it was very sunny but still cool, and the trees were bare and the ground was completely covered with colorful leaves. It's funny that my mind must have picked a specific time for this dream to occur.

Well, the last one seems relevant, considering the morphing ability and other special abilities. It's like your mind is writing a superhero-type story in your dream.

I like the bat story better, so I'd probably write that if it came down to it. Those are intense dreams, but for some reason I haven't been able to remember much of mine.

But what if he was self-aware and realized that they were corrupt and greedy and underserving of the riches which he could bestow? *story idea emerges*

I like history, so maybe at some point all watch that one, but I'd rather watch some of the others first.

I would have to be really skilled with it to fight off a mass wasp attack. Methinks I need some more training.

Yes. Bees I can at least tolerate because we need them and they're not as evil. Wasps are my mortal enemy.

I wish I could remember more of my dreams...I used to base stories on them.

I think he'll be ok after he gets fed. Although, what if, one day, he really did lead them to some gold?
