Thanks. I don't know if I ever will. Something people find very difficult to handle about me is that I am not a calm person. I can rarely just chill out, I always have to be doing something or working on something. When I am still, I'm probably just thinking up stories in my head or planning things out. I don't know why that's the way I am, but it is. So I think people find me a bit overwhelming sometimes. But I don't know, my boyfriend has liked me for a very long time. So I'll have to see if that continues.

I feel like there's so much pressure on people to make their wedding perfect. I wouldn't want to be under that much stress on my wedding day. That would not be a very happy day. At my oldest aunt's wedding, (she had a backyard wedding) it was very laid-back. They wore clothes that were very nice, but simple rather than extravagant. They had mostly family and friends help with the ceremony, but nothing was too complicated. So a lot of money was saved. We had a few incidents then, too. For example, one of the ring bearers (my step cousin) couldn't get the ring off the pillow because it was tied too tight, so someone had to help him. Honestly, at my other aunts' weddings (on my mom's side) that would have been considered a disastrous moment. I feel like the backyard wedding was just really fun for everyone involved. And to be completely honest, I feel like trying to make things too fancy/perfect is just an attempt to inflate one's sense of their own importance. Life's too short for that, I say. Have a few serious moments. Then bring on the fun and the food.

Yeah, they would really do better to make it shorter, which is also how I feel about weddings. I've been to a few of those, and the short ones are just as meaningful and beautiful, but everyone is happier because they can get to the food and the wine faster. At least that's what I observed.

Even getting a card is more than my brother did, but then, he had to sit through my graduation ceremony on his birthday. Even I was bored, and it was my graduation.
