Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Year of the Rabbit, Bitches!

Totally posted this video last year, but it makes me laugh so we'll post it again!

Gong Hei Fat Choi, ladies and gents (and Gong Xi Fa Cai to everyone speaking the weird version). Happy Chinese New Year, happy year of the rabbit, long life, lots of luck and wealth and prosperity (probably) and so on.

I'mma just prep myself for a weekend of lion dances and death in the meantime.

And who knows, maybe the good new year stuff was just waiting for firecracker smoke in my face before coming around?

I guess we'll find out.

Also, someone remind me I wanna blog about eastern/western learning methods next time. I wanted to do that, but Chinese New Year has delayed that.

Listen to the first ten seconds:

The podcast is uploaded.

Now you understand why Australian!James is gonna kill us.

Also, I need to keep my mic farther away from me. Oops.

Post-OB Podcast Post . . .

Australian!James is gonna kill us . . .

Just sayin'.

The Aftermath . . .

We didn't finish the castle, but we sure as hell besieged it and looted it of all its treasure (a treasure incidentally made of the same substance as the castle itself).

I'm also learning that apparently bacon makes people I know locally think of me. I'm a living signature, it turns out, complete with catch phrases and stuff.

Who knew?

In other news, I'm playing Gunbound now. This is getting ridiculous.

Pierogi Castle For Castle . . .

Six minutes until the greatest episode of Castle ever. To celebrate, we had a party. And we made a fortress of pierogi, onions, and BACON WEAVE(!!!). AND with a sour cream moat! Here, pics because it happened: ...
