Welcome to my world.
I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

1. I have been a little bit late every day for work this week. Most recently I can blame snow, which isn't so bad, but frankly I'm just sleeping in all the time. This is not so good. On the other hand, the snow, even with all its deathly pillowness threatening to force more car damage payments out of me, is actually quite pretty. Deadly, but pretty.
If I were cheesy, I'd say it reminds me of women. Good thing I didn't say that.
2. Finished the single player of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It ended on a heavy WTF. Surprisingly, I'm okay with that. It's kinda funny, when the first game ended, people were PISSED because it was so amazingly WTF that they didn't even know where to begin. Then a year of speculation on the ending, then a year leading up to a new game that everyone was really excited for. And then the second one ended on a "WTF... wait, OMG!!!" when the story was finally starting to piece together. So now we actually UNDERSTAND what's happening in the larger story, and now we're willing to go along with the WTF-ness that is Assassin's Creed. And it is good.
Multiplayer is fun too. Kinda like tag or hide and seek than it is about killing each other in virtual land. It's different and refreshing. I like that.
3. It is incredibly strange to see your name on someone else's MSN screen name. Weird, even. Also a little flattering, considering the screen name was "james leuuuuung i need my paper writing council :C".
And then it was changed to "crisis averted. thanks james leung!"
Won't lie. A little bit hilarious.
Alright, the snow wasn't that bad yesterday at all. There was only about five or seven centimeters, the streets were clear, and it was completely sunny in the morning. So basically, the best of a pretty snowfall without all the death generally involved. Actually quite a beautiful day.
Some allege it was still cold as balls, but I didn't find it too bad. So yeah, snow wasn't too bad.
Working no-tax still sucked, though. Busy as hell, sold lots of TVs, etc. etc.. We may also have a couple more next weekend, though I imagine we'll be sold out of everything by then. Maybe.
Other than that, caught a late showing of Deathly Hallows: Part 1 last night. And maaaaan, those movies got super dark and serious! When you compare it to how often you were snickering and giggling at all the points in the last movie, you literally have no chances to relax and laugh. For so much of the movie it's dreary and depressing and you get no release from it until a giant column of fire comes out of nowhere - and you milk that column of fire for everything it's worth, because you don't know when your next chance will be.
Enjoyed it a lot, though. Though I'm back in LotR mode going "damnit, we have to wait how long before the next one?!"
Ah well. All's well. And now it's time to make some food.
I'm thinking bacon.
. . . and I work Saturday morning on a no-tax day.
FML.
I have quite literally spent the entire day today playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
I love that all the mission critical life stuff is out of the way finally.
Also, AC: Brotherhood has managed to be a third game in a series that still manages to make the game better and better. I am completely impressed by that.
I feel like I've learned a lot after witnessing my brother's wedding. Specifically, about what makes a very successful wedding.
Step one is being completely on the ball with your plans and knowing exactly what kind of plans work....
