Welcome to my world.
I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

I'm about as healthy as I can expect. I should be a'ight. Could be worse, though; my parents got bronchitis in China.
So aside from vegging and tending to my cold, I have a couple sects of family in town. My Edmonton people (mom's side) are staying at the ancestral home while my Calgary people (dad's side, includes grandma) are at a hotel. Mostly nice to see them all again.
Edmonton side remains cantankerous and self-centered as ever. Calgary side remains awesome and chill as always. I mean, I love 'em all . . . but I won't lie, I tend to have a lot more fun visiting in Calgary than I do in Edmonton. Whatever.
So yeah. Wedding on Saturday, gift opening on Sunday. Podcast should still be up at a good time like usual.
Should be, anyway.
Not important right now.
CONGRATULATIONS, JUSTIN AND SAM!!!
I never appreciated how hard it is to write something lengthy and intelligently while simultaneously trying to break a fever or whatever the heck is wrong with me now.
Anyway, first post is up over at Metropolis. Thanks to Mr. East for the topic.
I think I shall spend the rest of the night in a vegetative state. That seems like a good idea . . .
EDIT: Welp, 10pm, fever broke about half an hour ago. I think. Anyway, now I feel super hot and not chilly. I guess we can call that progress . . .
It is Tuesday today.
I have a sore throat. Was slight yesterday, and today it is full.
My brother's wedding is Saturday. I am a groomsman.
It appears my immune system now has a time frame.
Crap.
Grabbed Rock Band 3 the other day. Looking forward to where that takes me.
Then this morning (after waking up an hour earlier than I should have for work), I read this:
Bon Jovi 12-song DLC comes out November 9th!
Fuck yeah.
Gonna go out to celebrate my brother's birthday today. Should be fun.
In other news, November 11th is just over the horizon. Need to start gearing up for that.
Do any of you have a particular war story you know about that I should research? Any battle or key figure (or even mostly unknown figure) tell a story that touches you in any particular ways? This year I only have one story I want to tell because I only really learned about it this past year; I haven't thought about any others yet.
If you guys know how I roll around this time of year, I'd like to know if there's anything in particular you wouldn't mind more people hearing about. Sound like a plan?
