I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

I once made one of these "Quiz Your Friends" things back in first year, quizzing all my high school friends. For some reason I thought about it today.
So I made a new one mostly catered to stuff you guys might actually know (as opposed to "what's my teddy bear's name?" that the locals got way back when):
Well, wasn't that a super emotional season finale if ever?
More often than not this show has always left me in a pretty good mood, whether it be mostly artificial and residual or not. Music just works like that sometimes. The Moulin Rouge special features mentioned something like it: you can say something very plain and simple, but once you put it in song, it can come out really strong.
Guess a big part of it is how folks in the episode were just so happily able to say who and what they love straight and undistractedly.
I'm not sure if undistractedly is a real word or not.
In any case, good game, Glee. Your first year was quite enjoyable and satisfying.
Don't let season 2 suck in the fall, now.
I guess Tuesday is now singularly Deadliest Warrior night now. That said, they didn't replay it and instead showed a premiere for Pirate Hunters. I am still awaiting a means to watch that tonight before it's too late and I have to sleep (early morning).
Oh, also, totally gonna start working on the dress uniform from Valkyria Chronicles while my grandma's in town. Should be good for grins.
So we made gyoza again on Saturday. And again, I got gifted with the leftovers: a few dozen wrapped gyoza (which have since all stuck together because I didn't separate them before freezing them well enough) and a bowl of filling.
So I worked some of the filling this morning:
Pretentious, expensive lounges be damned, THIS is fusion cooking!
Alright, so I used too much filling and not enough oil so it all went to hell. That's okay, if it's for yourself, it's allowed to look gross. Still, it's tasting awesome as I type this (and eat).
My godson is having his baptism in about half an hour. Just puttin' on my socks now.
Did I mention I have a godson now? I have a godson now. How messed up is that, eh? He's the son of that buddy whose wedding I once saved with the forgotten rings and the rush to get them before it was too late. So yeah, if I never mentioned it before, I'm partly in charge of a child's spiritual upbringing now.
Eep.
In other news, my brother picked me as a groomsman for when he gets married in November along with his best friend and the other brother. Once again I have been tasked with being the number three man in another man's nuptials; Apparently, this is the only job for which I am suited. I am beset by the ironies of my life...
Oh Tom Cruise . . . bahaha . . .
Anyway, baby. Water. Some church I've never been to. I'd best be off now.
