I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

The official month of hot-seat house-finding begins . . .
. . . just gave my one-month notice to upstairs. He has apparently seen this coming for a couple months now. Same amount of time as since the little one's moved off to school. Not surprising, really.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is only two weeks away from release, and I'm pretty much salivating. Reviews are starting to come out now that the embargo (or whatever) came down . . . and as one guy put it, everyone knew it was going to be good, but no one expected it to be this good!
It's hard to imagine that any game could live up this kind of hype. At the same time, though, the more I see of it, the more I'm willing to believe.
There are two main things that I absolutely love about this game. The first is the characters, how brilliantly they're acted, how well-developed they are, and how they interact with each other. For example:
The other thing I love, is that even during the gameplay, you get such a sense of Drake as a character... and if that's not enough to turn heads, the insanely cinematic gameplay will. Example:
"Don't you assholes see the helicopter?!" indeed . . .
. . . . . holy crap, this game is gonna be the greatest game in the history of ever . . .
. . . which reminds me, I need to hurry up and find that darker grey shirt before Halloween . . . . .
I've officially decided that Nathan Fillion is a performer who I would watch in anything.
Case in point, I bought season one of Castle on Wednesday after I sold a set to a woman on Tuesday. I had never seen an episode of it in my life, and of the half I did see, I was on the computer so I wasn't really paying attention.
One episode later, I can already say I love this show. I guess I'll add Castle to my regular television this year.
Shiny.
EDIT: Episode 9, about a child kidnapper . . . and I see Detective Kate Beckett holding the exact same big green Ikea coffee mug that I have.
I think I have a new favourite show for 2010. Fuck yeah.
