Ack that hurt my head and ears DX and I didn't touch the volume one bit...
It sounds like a very high pitch sound and some forest sound in background or something. The high pitch was what hurt my head and ears.

That sound is really, really annoying. It's like some high pitched whine or something, plus.. Aaryanna hates it, she growled at my computer speakers. XP

We did something like that in physics class in high school... and I was the last one [i]out of the entire class[/i] to hear the sound as it gradually became lower and lower. ;_; I've never noticed any particular problems with my hearing outside of that, but it sure freaked me out.

I had to turn my volume up really high but, yeah, I heard a pulsating, high pitched tone.

A local radio station performed this experiment (if I'm thinking of the same one) about a year ago. So as not to give what I believe to be it away...

This deals with hearing deterioration after a certain age, right? Like you use this as your ringtone and while you're in class, the old phogey teachers won't hear it, while you (the young and as-of-yet undamaged one) can peek down and see who it is trying to chat you up during class.

Yep, high pitched tone, like when you're in dead silence. Hm, I'm kinda still hearing it even after the file is done.

I couldn't really hear anything, haha. I turned it up all the way, but it just sounded like the usual background scratching you get on any blank sound file when the volume's fully cranked. Is this one of those tests to see whether or not you can pick up on a particular high-pitched sound? (I always fail those...)

It sounds really high-pitched and pulsates with a certain rhythm. Now you've got me curious, man.
