Directed by, written by, AND STARRING Paul Gross! Heh, I used to love watching Due South, I loved his Mountie character. I haven't seen him since... hm, I think it was a Red Green special.
Heh, I can understand why you're so enthusiastic about this film ^^
Man, so cool! I don't actually now about the battle, but it looks pretty awesome. Not to mention, though I have never personally been to Canada, I've kinda always wanted to so I'm sort of a fan. lol.
The one time Twisted and our family were in New York and we were going to go into Canada but our plans didn't pan out I was quite depressed.
I'm really looking forward to this. It looks awsome and I'm happy for you. The major geek-out factor in your post made me giggle. lol.
Dude, *smacks desk* I'm so there. I'm not that big of a fan of the American war films because it seems to only star some strapping Jack Patriot as the star and how America's great and all that. Frankly, it gets old after a while. Besides, who writes a film about WWI? I want to, but not many others. It's always WWII and the "greatest generation". Meh, they just finished a war the WWI guys started. They were cool and all, but rather conceded if you ask me.

Passchendaele was the battle in WWI where everyone was fighting in that ridiculously thick mud, right? I remember reading about that in one of my history classes and thinking that I would be amazed to come back alive from a battle with such horrid conditions.
It actually looks like it could be of quality. Having it mostly being done there locally and by resident actors must be reassuring. I'm glad you're so psyched about it.

Canadian-themed movie about the Great War?
