I read about this at work. D: It's so terrible. It kills me that the father died to protect his family, and his two daughters were killed anyway. And it's even worse to think about what the mother is going through right now.
I'm also pissed off about the event. While I have not seen the so-called live coverage, which should not have been done, I hear news, I hear commentaries, and I read articles.
It was really bad.
In behalf of my fellow countrymen, I also would wish to apologize for the incompetence of our peace keepers.
Media, police, by-standers... a lot of things went wrong, when it may not have.
This tragedy is really an embarrassing, tragic event.
For all the failures committed in this crisis, I apologize in behalf of every Filipino in the world. Filipinos are also angry about the whole situation as well. I'm even upset at President Noynoy Aquino for his overly relaxed demeanor after the crisis ended. (Filipinos may be known for being cheerful, but this was abusing that trait. See why I wasn't happy when he won the election months ago?)
Also, I apologize in behalf of my fellow countrymen for the way some of them treated the crime scene. I know the pictures are circulating all around the Net, and I can't defend the Filipinos on that because what they did was very wrong. All I can do here is apologize.
I know this is causing a backlash against Filipinos, but I can't blame foreigners for it. I just hope that we would soon move on positively from it and learn from what happened.

I have some Filipino friends on Twitter who were raging over this and incredibly embarrassed for their country. If they're any indication, the people over there don't feel so hot about this either.
I heard about this the other day and I wondered why some people from that country were apologizing for it. And then I read up on what happened and saw why. Talk about a total mess.

Again, in behalf of your community, I apologize.
