You know what's funny--I ran into Jed' a bunch on Saturday. I don't know him so I felt awkward about saying hi but I'm pretty sure I saw him at least three times that day.
Nope. For sake of structural integrity, all of those big cannons and scythes were solid, complete pieces. The scythe was one large foam blade glued on top of a rather tall staff, and we had to angle/wedge that into the car quite carefully. And yeah, they had to be pretty careful walking around and the scythe actually fell and the tip broke off halfway through the day.

Well, it's amazing that you can write these stuff up with detail... I guess the photos help.
Those large props seem like a hard thing to be carrying around in cases. I bet they disassemble and assemble easily...
