I agree with Shanny on this. Big groups playing together is usually fun at first but then all those personalities starts to crash and some emotions may rise and discussions occur. LOL
But you're the kind of a peace maker so I'm sure you'll find a way to stick the group together, just give them a little time to cool down.
And it certainly okay to be bad sometimes. It's actually fun to be bad. :P
So many highs and lows in one post! I'm glad that you are enjoying a healthier lifestyle (because that can be so hard for some people). But I'm so sorry to hear about your friendship problems. That is always anxiety-inducing and confusing. All I can say is that I hope it all works out for you. The best of luck for all of you and killing off those elephants.
(Also, Happy Valentine's Day. Do something nice and relaxing, okay?)

You know, after all these years reading about you being in a guild and chatting on vent... it makes me smile in a sort of sweet and evil way at the same time. It's just really odd talk, coming from you. And well, a lot of guildies I've run with I didn't know before hand, but trust me, all guilds have this drama crap that goes on. I'm sure Red could attest to that. I've run with a lot of those hard core raiders, so yeah I know that feeling. You would think people would just be able to play a freakin' game with each other and enjoy each other's company doing something they're supposed to be having fun with. But yeah, it doesn't quit go that way lol, you wouldn't believe the amount of buttons that get pushed. Friends in real life or not. It's just something MMOers deal with. Welcome to dealing with all kinds of personalities mushed into one group trying to cooperate with each other. It's like kindergarten all over again, expect without the teacher to tell others to stop being mean to each other.
As for your other issue, seems like initially it was her fault for starting it. Seemed to chill and fade into the background... then someone *cough*James*cough*, had to go and hit the irritate button to bring it back up. You bad boy lol. Honestly, I'd be a little ticked at that crack too. Ah, but maybe she deserved it, I surely don't know.
I've noticed in college that elephants in the room are a problem when your group consists of multiple people. Like, me and my roommates are a group of four and we really don't have issues with each other, and the ones we do are fairly negligible. My sophomore friends are a larger group, seven of them, and they roll around in so much conflict it's like high school drama. This person said this, that person did that, I heard from so-and-so that somebody - that stuff. And there's a lot of tension sometimes to the point of it being annoying. Whenever I hang out with them, I play the neutral party of people confiding in me, but it gets tiring, so I totally get you on that (and it's weird, I'm not usually "the nice person").
Uh whew that was kind of long. But what you're talking about, I see that in other people, and whenever you try to explain it, it's just a...complicated mess. Lots of networking ties at risk and all this crap.
Man... that seems tough... Tsk. Well, have fun shooting down the elephants. Use a bigger gun. XD
Also... when you ended this post with a happy valentines, I was vaguely reminded of your usual that-time-of the year ender... it sort of feels weird not reading it, eh?

Are the entire group at sakura con on this diet thing? I'll be sure to mention that they look great.
