Dang, I wasn't able to watch the ceremonies. I heard it was awesome.
You mentioned in a previous post that aug. 8, 2008 is supposed to be a lucky combination, right? Well, I also heard that some Feng Shui experts believe that it is September 8, 2008 that is the lucky combination because for the Chinese Calendar, it's February that is the 1st month... Talk about conflicting opinions, eh?
I've still to watch the majority of opening ceremonies (caught the end live - that torch ordeal was phenomenal), but dvr-ing everything will make that pretty simple. ^.^ Of course my main reason for recording it is men's gymnastics. *devilish smirk* Have you seen those guys??
Woot! for a performance well-done, Guy. ^_^
Miss Anonymous: ARE YOU CALLING THE PLIGHT OF PIZZA EVERYWHERE STUPID?!?!? >:O
Opening ceremony was epic max. It was a bit freaky how well-choreographed everything was and in the scorching heat/humidity... makes the pressure for the next set that much more immense.
Huzzah for being on the news... even if partly. ^_~
Even if it was brief, hurray for being on the news. =P
Pity the coverage for the olympics here is kind of beyond pathetic. I wasn't going to watch it anyway, but it sucks for the people who had really wanted to.
I agree with NightBeck's #2 statment for sure... Bush was embarrasing.
I recorded the openning on my DVR [recording everything else too] so I watched it today and was like OHHOLYSHIZTHATWASAMAZINGFANTASTIFICALLYAWESOMEIWANNABETHERESOOOOOBAAAADDD
yes. Jaw on the floor the whole time. I've never watched the Olympics actually, the anticipation of the Beijing openning is what got me to watch it. And the overall epicness of course ^^. I'm gonna watch the sports too.
Ha, that's awesome 3 seconds of fame XD those will be 3 seconds to remember...
And the opening ceremonies were gorgeous. The only thing that threatened to ruin them for me were 1) those dumbass announcers. "THESE PEOPLE ARE CHINESE, YOU KNOW. ISN'T THAT EXOTIC?" and 2) repeated shots of our dear Commander in Chief looking bored stiff. Made me long for Obama all over again.
Ooo...I've been in the newspaper a few times -- one, was of me and my upside-down minivan that was crashed into by a car that ran a stop sign, and the other was of my preparing some IV bags at the hospital.
Man...the opening ceremony was awesome!! Though, I truly would not have wanted to be inside that stadium -- just imagine all the heat and humidity *cringes*
hehehe. I was on the news for a few seconds once when I was in elementary school^^ I don't really remember what it was for, but it was interesting. lol.

I missed the first half of the opening ceremonies because my mom got the eastern & central timezones mixed up again!
GODDAMNIT, MOM.
