I'm sorry to hear such sad news, West. To echo your words to me a few months ago but with just as much meaning: My thoughts are with you and your family. You may not have known them well (and I don't know either of them at all), but from what I can tell by reading your words commemorating their lives, they lived fulfilling ones with plenty of love and friendship. May they rest in peace.
As for new-house action, good internet would be convenient, eh? I've been meaning to extend some hardwire ethernet form my router in one end of the house to my jamspace/gameroom 'cause I've been itching for some online gaming and I don't trust my wireless for that. Best get workin' on that to-do list... Both of us.

I'm sorry for your family's losses. Your mom's always seemed like a pretty cool gal, so I hope that she will feel better soon in spite of her friend's passing.
Hmm, you know what might cheer you up (or break your heart)? A Writers Bloc X-mas contest. ;)
With you working all the time, and me playing WoW all the time, I miss you! But my WoW's been on the fritz lately, and my comp keeps shuttin down, so I've been online more recently. "It's a mission from Gawd."

It's never easy when a close one dies, especially a family member. Seeing my own mother deal with her father's death these past few years has shown me that a person never truly gets over it.
I'll pray for your stepdad and mom (if you don't mind).
I'm so sorry for your losses. We lost a family friend this year, too, and even though I hadn't seen him for a long time, I still felt awful. So I understand. *hugs*
Wow... that really bites. When anyone dies, even if you barely knew them, it can still be hard when you see someone you love grieving. A few years ago, there was this rash of deaths in our family and circle of friends. I never knew my mom's friend's parents, nor my aunt's dad, but it was still sad to see them go through that. Hopefully your mom and stepdad get more out of the trip than a memorial service.
