It scool that you are going to be in a parade, Ive been in 3 parades as well. 2 here in my home town (as part of the school marching band) and once at Disneyland (as part of my High school Marching band as well) lol. Ive also heard alot of stuff about both of those films, 95% of it good. The guys at work are always hounding me to watch "Taken", but ive already got alot of stuff i need to watch right now, so it will have to wait for now lol. That reminds me - did you ever get a chance to watch "Australia" ? Just curious :) well, i certainly hope to chat sometime soon :) i live about 2 hours away from where they are holding Akon, so im desperately going to try and see if i can pull off a miracle to be there, because id really like to meet some people from Theotaku there :) Hope to chat soon :)
Just to warn you, Taken is best enjoyed with a heavy dose of MST3K Mantra. It's a great ride, but thinking too much about it can ruin it worse than a forced meme.
That being said, it's a great action movie and Liam Neeson is a total badass.
Yeah, I really liked 'em both. As for your concerns about Benjamin Button . . . like, there's no way around it, it's totally Oscar Bait. Of course that isn't inherently bad, just kinda means you'll feel a lot of things coming.
But yeah, on the whole, I could recommend it, I think. It's a neat story, for sure.

What did you think of both movies? Already seen Slumdog Millionaire and liked it a lot, but I've been a bit more wary about seeing Benjamin Button since the reaction to it is so mixed.

World's biggest tin soldier, you say? Wow.
Anyway, I should schedule Hajime No Ippo soon. Maybe after eden of the east finishes...
Yup, can't say no to a good lion dance. You're slowly becoming a veteran of that parade, eh?
:D

I was in our local Old Settlers parade back in Junior High...as part of the Math Club. I held a sign with equations on it. *headdesk*
Have fun being in your 4th parade. Hope it goes well. ^^
