I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.
And I work for this site.
And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).
Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.
If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Like so many teams before us, we were at the mercy of the computer to compile and render the final video. And it just didn't wanna play this year.
We missed the 48 hour deadline, and as such, our entry was disqualified from the 2012 Bloodshots Canada film race. A shame.
Anyway, they're still gonna screen our movie and it'll still be online for viewing and all - as soon as the website starts working more properly, anyway. And I know we were never in it for the prizes and all . . . but still. It's funny how disappointed and frustrated I actually was at the end of this whole thing. Should we do this again next year, I feel there will be big differences.
For one, I may need to break off from my friends and start a new team . . . scary thought, y'know? Anyway, that's for next year.
More importantly: movie's online! Who wants to watch me die?!
Holy fuck! Our Bloodshots film won the prize for "Best use of prop or dialogue"!!!
Seriously, our jank little movie won a prize of a few books, a couple DVDs, and the eternal knowledge that we totally robbed some other team of the prize. And let me tell ya, some of those teams were PROFESSIONAL. Actually, most of those teams were professional to an extent - one movie even credited caterers, for the love of toast . . .
But yeah. B' and his idea to plug into a cassette tape won. We fucking won a prize. How the fuck we did that blows my mind.
Holy fuck . . . haha . . . ah man . . . . . yeah, Bloodshots is awesome.
Principal photography is done. Principal editing is done too (do you even call it that?). Pretty much all we need to do is fit sound and music to it and bam shall the lady speaketh.
The hitch there being apparently we decided to sing a chorus for our movie. Dangerous, but we'll see what happens.
In all, the progress is definitely a step up from last year's bed of shit. Point one being we actually HAVE progress! Spirits are generally high and there is absolutely no reason for us to not be able to finish.
Still . . . as expected, there have been many differences of opinion and creation. This is leading to a few solid tensions here and there. This really isn't deal-breaker stuff like last time, but they're popping up. We're four primary, very strong personalities and everyone has ideas on how to drive the boat . . . so yeah, heads have butted, and fights have been picked here and there.
That said, we do love doing this . . . I feel it's very likely next year we'll do it again.
. . . . . still, I'm starting to get the impression that being that we all want to drive the boat, for the sake of our friendships, it may be worthwhile for us all to invest in our own boats next time out. Just a thought I've been throwing around.
Anyway, the other three are in their kigurumi and passed the hell out in the living room. Our star, the out-of-town ringer, is still up reading some Star Wars book a little. For the sake of an early morning, I'd best head to bed myself.
We're doing another one. Horror themed. It's called Bloodshots.
Our Sub-genre: "Scary Clown". Our Mandatory Prop: white cat. Our Mandatory Weapon: fork. Our Mandatory Line of Dialogue: "I think I saw something in the mirror..."
We have until 7pm on Sunday to finish. And this time we have a boom mic.
Wish us luck!
