Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Just checkin' in . . .

Hi guys, happy Mid-Autumn! We've got the super-dinner tonight, a lion dance tomorrow . . . and probably a week of eating mooncakes (or deathcakes, depending on how you wanna look at it).

Other than that . . . Shadow' and I hung out with Stupid Ed yesterday.

Yeah. That Stupid Ed. You're allowed to be jealous now.

Also . . . Testing.

More Testing.

House-Warming Party Today . . .

Yesterday was productive. Had dim sum for lunch with the parents, followed by chilling a bit with Stupid Ed at my place, followed by hitting the mall with Stupid Ed so he could buy a new pair of jeans, followed by our meeting up with Adam at the mall, followed by our going to the theater to see The Incredible Hulk, followed by my meeting "Superstore Steve" outside the theater to give him a ticket, followed by the four of us watching The Incredible Hulk (amazing movie, enjoyed it greatly), followed by going to a Korean place for dinner and beer and Wonder Girls on little TV monitors.

Then I finished my Fan Words homework and caught up on the Death Note I missed on Friday.

Yeah, that was a good day. And yes, you may all now feel jealous that Adam has actually met Stupid Ed now.

Anyway, one of the Shinsengumi-types is having a house-warming today, so I'll be doing that. Peace!

Haha, random . . .

One of the guys who was in the opening act band for Yoshida Brothers was playing in a different band at the Dragon Boat Festival thing. That was nifty.

Also, Stupid Ed's comin' to town either Thursday or Friday, so that'll be fun. I think he wants me to lend him games since he bought the MGS4 bundle. Still, always fun to have him around.

So while on the subject of Metal Gear . . . apparently it HAS made an impact on PS3 sales so far, at least in Japan. The system usually sells about 10 or 12 thousand units a week. The week MGS4 came out, Japan sold about 77,000 units. That's sick. That's awesome but sick.

On the complete opposite spectrum of awesome video gaming . . . in this case, the side that is quite the opposite of awesome . . .

. . . the Guitar Hero property has shown time and again that their souls have been devoured by beasts of shadow and shall never again see the goodness of a loving world ever again.

That's enough for now. Peace!
