As you know, at Anime Evolution we competed in the Final Fantasy Fight Tournament.
And were slaughtered in the first round by guys who could do aerials.
Anyway, also as you'll recall, we won the Lionheart Award for the best battle of the event. Well, today I went to a meeting regarding how we can make the event better, and got our prizes for winning the Lionheart Award!
(That's an Anime Evolution cosplay calendar (which I already have because I was in it), a $50 gift card for EB Games / GameStop apiece, and some super sweet custom dog tags made for us!)
(Super pleased by these. Amazing prizes. I love this event.)
Still, it's never been about the prizes. It's just seriously that much fun.
Also, gives excuses to have photos taken with Valkyria Chronicles, Team Fortress 2, and Jak and Daxter:
Hehehe . . .
Oh, fun fact about that photo: someone mentioned something about Valkyria and TF2 or just straight up Red and Blue all together in harmony. So I started singing Erasure. And then the Red Heavy started singing Erasure. And then the two of us kept singing.
And then our respective teams mutinied against us and showed improper firearms safety towards us. Good times.
Anyway, back to planning for Operation GETPAX . . . we're all confirmed, we all have a place to stay, and it sounds like we'll have a really cool thing to check out on the Sunday since we can't actually go into PAX . . . it'll be fun . . .
Been playing a lot of Valkyria Chronicles, actually. Really, really amazing game. If you're PS3 capable, it's absolutely a must-get.
That said . . . who knows about the trope called "Plotline Death"?
Yeah . . . . . horrible, horrible plotline death . . . war is hell, I know, but c'moooon . . .
. . . still an amazing game, though. Just sayin'.
