Holy crap! It's convention time starting tomorrow!!! How the hell?!
Ahem.
So, con-related . . . last weekend a bunch of us went out to UBC to do some cosplay photography. A couple of them did Valkyria Chronicles (which kicked ass and made me super jealous), one did Code Geass, and another did Macross Frontier. I just wanted an excuse to get more pictures of myself as Nathan Drake:
(Though NOW I have an AK-47 prop!).
Well, I got some beautiful pictures, so I'm happy.

Cosplay aside . . . E3 news has been all kinds of fun. "The Beatles: Rock Band" looks absolutely smashing and I shall need to get that if for nothing else but the three-part harmony vocals. "Assassin's Creed 2" is also shaping up quite nicely and I'm looking forward to that as well. "God of War 3" is gonna be all kinds of insanity - you get to rip Helios' head off and then use it as a makeshift magic lantern! You RIP his head off! New things I didn't really know much about beforehand included "The Saboteur", a WW2 period game where you play an Irish saboteur in German-occupied Paris; it has a neat colour-based mechanic that has me curious.
But naturally, if any of you saw the pictures above . . . you know I'm DEFINITELY excited about Uncharted 2! Gotta watch this trailer:

Wanna know what else is exciting? A food stuff literally named "fried bomb". Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Tenku Bakudanyaki!
Imagine a takoyaki ball, but 4 times the size and filled with 7 times the different fillings. That's badass. Had one yesterday. Was very satisfied with it. I shall have to bring new visitors there some time.
Japadog too. But that's for another tale . . .
So yeah. It's been an interesting week. And with Anime Evolution around the corner, it's gonna just get more interesting. Masquerade Ball AND bullwhip exhibition on Thursday!!! Wish me luck!
