Honestly, wouldn't be surprised if this is all just a big lead-up to this guy going "okay, I'm going to start running a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game now. Trust me, this game is actually good!"
The main thing that's hanging on my mind is that this whole incident is now a "thing". Like, no matter what I do here on out, it's going to be tainted. Either I keep the pressure on them and withhold all the bones and someone goes "This game is too broken. I don't want to play it anymore", or I ease up and have it all just feel like a straight up "okay, fine, have it your way, are you happy now?"
Also rather than taking criticism with "What I want is X", I was getting a whole lot of "What YOU should be doing is X". It's going an extra degree that it doesn't have to go. Y'know?
I'm very green to the pencil-and-paper RPing myself, but have been going at it for long enough to know that the game I'm playing is far more for entertainment than it is for "hardcore gaming". Me and my friends are having fun and getting a good story from our game while kind of playing with kids gloves, and that's essentially what we want. We've had our moments of peril, but in our group, there is a dedicated healer, and someone who can like half-heal.
But that's going off on a different tangent. Someone complaining about your game is certainly going to bruise your ego, but I don't think you should let it. As you've said, you're new to this. Of course it's not going to be perfect, you're learning the ropes. I would hope that those participating are aware of this fact and will...cut you some slack, or just know that it's going to be rough.
If your game was created with certain intentions, than I would hope they're followed through on. And if you don't like how a game is run, then go be a DM yourself.

As long as they're happy, sure--but YOU have to be happy too.

@SomeGuy:
Oh yeah - again, it's that whole "if you want to DM, then go be a DM". Don't need a backseat driver on your campaign.
