Aye, this type of thing happened with me and a friend not too long ago.
But the common answer is no, its not abnormal. It may not be the healthiest thing in the world.
I commonly refer to this phenomenon as The Honeymoon Effect; which occurs when you make "fast friends" like this and you feel like you're destined or something.
Especially with your questioning of your emotions, its an intuitive way of distinguishing what is real from what is more superficial.
I didn't mean to be offensive in that way, but questioning is the first step to understanding.
It's not weird at all generally speaking people are attracted by looks first then you get to know about that person and come to like them on a different level. Crushes have to start somewhere right
I wouldn't say it's weird at all birdy. When I met Okami for the first time, I knew I liked him more than others too. There was just something...idk different about him that attracted me to him. We started off as friends but eventually we became more. So no it's not weird at all ^^ well, maybe friends is stretching it a bit. I knew I liked him as a person but the word friend never fit him for me because I valued his opinion more than anyone else's. Sooner or later I figured out that I liked him and I was pretty nervous (seeing as I hadn't ever liked anyone before Okami) eventually, I told him about my feelings and he luckily felt the same way.
I would respect his wishes of not wanting a relationship right now but, eventually when the time feels right, I'd tell him. The worst thing you can do is not say anything and loose him when he's ready for a relationship. Sorry ^^;; I'm rambling a bit. I hope this helps.
